Fruit And Wheat

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup bulgur, uncooked (cracked wheat)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped dried fig
  • 1/4 cup chopped dried apricot
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium saucepan, combine water, orange juice, and sugar.
  • 2 bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • 3 add bulgur, reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook 15 minutes.
  • 4 remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla and cinnamon. then add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
  • 5 serve right away for best flavor and texture.
