Old English A Hot Mulled Cider

Ingredients
- 2 quarts apple cider
- 2 quarts grape juice, red
- 2 cups orange juice
- 3 lemons, sliced
- 3 oranges, sliced
- 2 pieces candied ginger
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1 cup brandy
Recipe
- 1 mix the cider, juices, lemons, and oranges in a large saucepan or dutch oven.
- 2 tie ginger and spices in a cheesecloth bag; add to saucepan.
- 3 heat to boiling; reduce heat.
- 4 simmer, uncovered, 15 minute
- 5 remove spice bag.
- 6 stir in brandy.
- 7 serve warm in chafing dish or heat-proof punch bowl.
- 8 serves 36 (1/2 cup each).
