Lawrys Creamed Spinach

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 6 slices bacon, finely chopped
  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons season salt (lawrys preferred)
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned pepper (lawrys preferred)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen spinach, cooked and drained

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium skillet, cook bacon until almost crisp.
  • 2 add onion to bacon and cook until onion is tender about 10 minutes.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 add flour and seasonings; blend well.
  • 5 gradually stir in milk; cook and stir over low heat until thickened.
  • 6 add spinach and mix well.
  • 7 if too thick add more milk.
