Russian Gingered Carrots

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb carrot
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons dried marjoram

Recipe

  • 1 peel carrots (if desired,) and slice into rounds, about the size of a quarter.
  • 2 combine ginger and sugar, and toss with carrots in bowl.
  • 3 let stand 20 minutes.
  • 4 drain in a sieve.
  • 5 melt butter in skillet.
  • 6 add carrots, pinch of salt and marjoram leaves.
  • 7 stir and saute over medium heat until carrots are done.
