Smashed Potato Patties

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 10 small potatoes (golf ball size, or smaller)
  • 2 tablespoons oil or 2 tablespoons butter

Recipe

  • 1 i like little yukon golds (skins on).
  • 2 wash the potatoes and put them in a bowl and microwave them till done. careful they get hot!
  • 3 take them one at a time and smoosh them till they are about a half an inch thick. i use two small wooden cutting boards for this.
  • 4 use a spatula and transfer them into a hot skillet sizzling with a little butter or oil or a combination of both.
  • 5 sprinkle with desired spices, salt, pepper, garlic, curry powder -- etc. and brown on both sides.
