Sausage Gravy For Biscuits And Gravy

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb lean bulk sausage
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 1/4 cups milk
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 brown sausage until it crumbles in a large skillet. drain and set aside.
  • 2 melt butter and stir in flour.
  • 3 gradually add milk and stir constantly as you bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
  • 4 when mixture is thickened, add sausage and salt and pepper to taste.
  • 5 cook until heated through and serve over split biscuits.
