Mulled Crimson Pears

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pear slices in heavy syrup
  • 1 cup sweet red vermouth
  • mint sprig (to garnish)

Recipe

  • 1 drain pears and place in a single layer in skillet. add vermouth.
  • 2 heat to boiling over medium heat; simmer, basting occasionally until evenly tinted, about 10 minutes.
  • 3 remove from heat; boil vermouth until reduced by half, to concentrate the flavor.
  • 4 pour over pears and garnish with mint sprigs.
