- 1 (16 ounce) can pear slices in heavy syrup
- 1 cup sweet red vermouth
- mint sprig (to garnish)
Recipe
- 1 drain pears and place in a single layer in skillet. add vermouth.
- 2 heat to boiling over medium heat; simmer, basting occasionally until evenly tinted, about 10 minutes.
- 3 remove from heat; boil vermouth until reduced by half, to concentrate the flavor.
- 4 pour over pears and garnish with mint sprigs.
