Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 6 tablespoons freshly-squeezed lemon juice (about)
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl, add cornstarch. mix a little lemon juice with a little water and add to cornstarch. beat to a smooth paste.
  • 2 in a medium saucepan, heat remaining lemon juice and water. add sugar, stirring constantly, until dissolved. pour onto cornstarch paste, beating well until smooth.
  • 3 return to saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear. using a zester, add the peel of 1 lemon.
  • 4 serve hot.
