Goat Cheese Wildberry Phyllo Strudel

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup goat cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup smuckers wildberry jam

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2 layer 4 sheets of phyllo on top of each other and cover with damp towel until ready to use.
  • 3 layer remaining 4 sheets of phyllo on top of each other on the counter and brush top sheet with melted butter.
  • 4 place goat cheese along short end of phyllo sheet, cover with jam and place remaining 4 sheets of phyllo dough on top. roll jelly roll style from short end, brushing butter on the ends to seal.
  • 5 place seam side down on prepared baking sheet. with a very sharp knife, cut slits halfay through the streudel about every 2-inches to facilitate cutting once it is baked.
  • 6 brush with melted butter.
  • 7 bake in preheated oven 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  • 8 chill at least 1 hour before serving, to allow filling to set. to serve, cut using pre-cut slits as a guide.
