Dot's Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients

- 1 (16 ounce) box light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter (equals 1 1/2 sticks butter)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees, or 325 degrees if using pyrex or glass.
- 2 melt brown sugar and butter together. cool mixture for about 5 minutes.
- 3 add eggs.
- 4 mix flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla and nuts together.
- 5 add to other mixture.
- 6 mix well.
- 7 bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes ~ if using pyrex or glass, reduce temperature to 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
- 8 top with chocolate frosting, if desired ~ i usually don't!
