Dot's Butterscotch Brownies

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 25
  • 1 (16 ounce) box light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter (equals 1 1/2 sticks butter)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees, or 325 degrees if using pyrex or glass.
  • 2 melt brown sugar and butter together. cool mixture for about 5 minutes.
  • 3 add eggs.
  • 4 mix flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla and nuts together.
  • 5 add to other mixture.
  • 6 mix well.
  • 7 bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes ~ if using pyrex or glass, reduce temperature to 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • 8 top with chocolate frosting, if desired ~ i usually don't!
