Mashed Potatoes

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 5 lbs baking potatoes (about 10 large)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups half-and-half or 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 peel potatoes.
  • 2 cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks, dropping into a large saucepan half filled with cold water.
  • 3 add 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • 4 bring to boiling and boil, partially covered, until potatoes are tender, 15 minutes.
  • 5 drain and set potatoes aside.
