Ginger Ale

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 teaspoon gingerroot, freshly grated
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup carbonated water
  • 1 lemon, juice of
  • 1 pinch cayenne powder (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 bring the ginger and plain water to a boil; then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • 2 remove from heat and cover.
  • 3 let steep an additional 10 minutes.
  • 4 strain and add carbonated water and lemon juice just before serving as well as cayenne powder if using.
