Easy Cheese Sauce

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 stir milk gradually into corn starch in a small saucepan until smooth.
  • 2 add butter, salt and pepper.
  • 3 bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute; remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in cheese until melted.
  • 5 serve over broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus or baked potatoes.
