Easy Cheese Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 stir milk gradually into corn starch in a small saucepan until smooth.
- 2 add butter, salt and pepper.
- 3 bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute; remove from heat.
- 4 stir in cheese until melted.
- 5 serve over broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus or baked potatoes.
