Spicy Swiss Chard & Beans

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 bunches swiss chard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans or 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons green hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 remove stems from swiss chard; coarsely chop swiss chard leaves.
  • 2 heat oil in 5-quart dutch oven over medium-high heat until hot.
  • 3 add swiss chard.
  • 4 cook until wilted, but still bright green, stirring frequently.
  • 5 stir in beans, green pepper sauce and salt.
  • 6 cook over medium heat until mixture is heated through.
