Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes With Garlic

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 lbs yukon gold potatoes
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cut potatoes into pieces (the smaller they are, the faster they will cook).
  • 2 place potatoes and garlic in a large saucepan.
  • 3 bring to a boil.
  • 4 cook on medium heat for 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  • 5 drain, but do not discard garlic.
  • 6 add remaining ingredients, and mash with a potato masher until smooth.
  • 7 add additional milk if necessary.
  • 8 if desired, season with additional salt and pepper.
