Spiked Baked Beans

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can vegetarian baked beans
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat until shimmering. saute onions in oil until soft and translucent, 3-5 minutes. add beans, ketchup, mustard, worcestershire sauce, ground mustard and brown sugar, if using. bring to a simmer and cook 10 minutes, stirring often.
