Ingredients

- 1 teaspoon gingerroot, freshly grated
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup carbonated water
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 1 pinch cayenne powder (optional)
Recipe
- 1 bring the ginger and plain water to a boil; then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 2 remove from heat and cover.
- 3 let steep an additional 10 minutes.
- 4 strain and add carbonated water and lemon juice just before serving as well as cayenne powder if using.
