Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 medium orange
- 3 1/2 cups canned beets (drained)
- butter (to taste)
Recipe
- 1 combine first five ingredients in sauce pan. heat slowly and stir until clear.
- 2 add grated orange rind and juice of orange. add beets and heat through.
- 3 add butter to taste before serving.
