Nonfat Strawberry Fudge Candy

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup preserved strawberry
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

Recipe

  • 1 butter 1 or 2 pans and beat the egg whites until stiff.
  • 2 drain the strawberries until they are as dry as possible.
  • 3 boil the sugar, water and cream of tartar to the firm ball stage (248° f).
  • 4 add the strawberries.
  • 5 let come to a boil again.
  • 6 pour slowly, beating constantly,over the egg whites.
  • 7 beat until thick and fluffy.
  • 8 pour mixture into pans.
  • 9 let cool and when firm cut in squares.
