Really Easy Strawberry Jam

Total Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 500 g strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 1 1/2-2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 combine strawberries and sugar in a medium heavy based pan. allow to stand for 10 minutes
  • 2 add lemon juice.
  • 3 stir gently over low to medium heat until all the sugar dissolves.
  • 4 bring slowly to the boil, reduce heat and simmer on low to medium heat for 35 minutes or until jam gels when tested.
  • 5 remove jam from heat and allow bubbles to subside.
  • 6 set aside for 2 minutes then ladle hot mixture into sterilized jars. seal immediately.
  • 7 store in cool, dark place. refrigerate after opening.
