Elsie's No Cook Strawberry Jam

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 24
  • 3 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 1 (2 ounce) package sure-jell
  • 1 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 combine berries and sugar. let stand 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 make pectin solution by stirring pectin in 1 c cold water and bringing it to a rapid boil for 1 minute.
  • 3 remove from heat and add pectin mixture to the berries. stir for 2 minutes.
  • 4 put in jars or freezable containers and leave at room temperature for 24-48 hours - then freeze. keep in freezer.
