Spinach Timbales

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups of cooked spinach
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 sauce: melt butter in a saucepan; add flour and salt, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • 2 add the milk, stirring constantly and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 3 put the spinach through a course sieve.
  • 4 then beat your eggs just slightly; add the melted butter, seasonings, and milk to the eggs.
  • 5 add the spinach.
  • 6 pour the mixture into greased baking dish, ramekins, or pyrex glass custard cups, and place in a pan of hot water.
  • 7 bake at 325°f until firm.
  • 8 serve with a sauce if desired.
