Super Simple & Fast Emerald (french) Green Lentils

Ingredients
- 1 cup green lentil
- 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
- 1 tablespoon fresh flat-leaf parsley (or 1/2 tsp dry)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil (approx)
- salt and pepper, to taste
Recipe
- 1 boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan. add the lentils and marjoram. if using dried parsley, add now too. lower the heat.
- 2 cover loosely and let cook for 20-30 minutes or until tender.
- 3 remove any excess water if the lentils didn't absorb all of it, then put them into a serving bowl. if using fresh parsley, add now and mix well.
- 4 drizzle a little olive oil evenly into the bowl (about 1 teaspoon or so, maybe a little less) and mix well.
- 5 serve, salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy.
