Dorothy's Best Ever Pastry

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lard
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 beat the lard in the boiling water and 1 tbsp vinegar.
  • 2 mix the dry ingredients together.
  • 3 stir into the lard mixture.
  • 4 do not overmix.
  • 5 form into a ball and put into fridge until ready to roll out.
  • 6 may be frozen.
  • 7 when ready to roll out, remove from fridge and make your shells for pies or tarts.
