Easy Candied Walnuts

Total Time: 16 mins Preparation Time: 1 min Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces walnuts (halves or large pieces, about 2 cups)
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 set oven to 325°f.
  • 2 generously spray a baking/cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
  • 3 in a medium bowl, toss the walnuts with sugar and salt, then drizzle the corn syrup over and toss with two forks to coat.
  • 4 spread the nuts on the baking sheet (some nuts will stick together).
  • 5 bake until the nuts are a deep golden and the sugar mixture is bubbling, stirring occasionally to break up lumps (this should take about 15 minutes of baking time).
  • 6 cool completely on the baking sheet.
