Dutch Apple Cake - Dairy Free

Ingredients
- Servings: 9
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 tart apples
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 cut apples thinly, mix with 3 tbs sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
- 2 set aside.
- 3 cream together sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.
- 4 add egg and beat well.
- 5 add vanilla.
- 6 sift in flour with baking powder and mix well.
- 7 spread half the batter in a greased and floured 8 inch square pan.
- 8 place apples in even line, close together on batter.
- 9 place remaining batter in lattice fashine (or drop in spoonfuls) on top.
- 10 bake for 50 minutes at 350.
- 11 serve hot or cold.
