Dutch Babies

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil or 1 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons butter

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit.
  • 2 whisk remaining ingredients together.
  • 3 gradually beat dry ingredients into the egg mixture until smooth.
  • 4 wrap handle of a medium non-stick skillet with foil.
  • 5 melt butter in the skillet and coat evenly.
  • 6 pour batter into skillet and bake for 20 minutes.
  • 7 reduce heat to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
  • 8 carefully remove pancake from skillet, cut in half, sprinkle with lemon and confectioner's sugar if desired and serve.
