Mushroom Shallot Sauce

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 3 large shallots, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb mushroom, sliced
  • 1/3 cup madeira wine
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a heavy skillet, melt butter, add garlic and shallots and sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  • 2 add mushrooms and cook, stirring frequently, over moderate heat for 5-7 minutes, until mushrooms are soft.
  • 3 stir in wine and cook over high heat for 2-3 minutes more.
  • 4 add basil and parsley and salt and pepper to taste. heat through.
