Steak Balsamico

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 (6 ounce) flat iron steaks
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt, divided
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground pepper, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 (8 ounce) package mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 clean and slice mushrooms. set aside.
  • 2 rub steaks with 1 t salt and 1/2 t pepper.
  • 3 cook steaks in hot oil in a large skillet over medium high heat for 4-5 minutes per side.
  • 4 let rest on a warming platter (in oven) or near burner.
  • 5 add garlic to the skillet; saute 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
  • 6 add mushrooms and remaining 1/4 t salt and 1/4 t pepper, saute 3 minutes.
  • 7 stir in vinegar; cook for 5 minutes, stiriing frequently.
  • 8 spoon mixture over each steak.
  • 9 serve immediately.
