Salsa Criolla - Peruvian Onion, Pepper & Lime Salsa

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 2 red onions, sliced in very thin half moons
  • 1 -2 aji bell peppers or 1 -2 jalapeno pepper, sliced into very thin matchsticks
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro or 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 soak the onions in salt water for 10 minutes. drain and let dry.
  • 2 mix onion with the rest of the ingredients. cover with plastic wrap and let marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.
  • 3 store in refrigerator for up to 2 days.
