Sauteed Daylilies

Ingredients
- Servings: 2
- 10 -12 large daylily flower buds
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 whole scallions, minced
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
- salt & pepper, to taste
Recipe
- 1 trim the stems from the buds.
- 2 rinse in cold water and pat dry on paper towels.
- 3 in a skillet, melt butter and saute scallions for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 4 add buds, parsley, oregano (or tarragon), salt and pepper.
- 5 saute and stir for 5 minutes, just until tender.
