Sauteed Daylilies

Total Time: 18 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 10 -12 large daylily flower buds
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 whole scallions, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or 1/2 teaspoon tarragon
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 trim the stems from the buds.
  • 2 rinse in cold water and pat dry on paper towels.
  • 3 in a skillet, melt butter and saute scallions for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 4 add buds, parsley, oregano (or tarragon), salt and pepper.
  • 5 saute and stir for 5 minutes, just until tender.
