- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, sliced

- preheat oven to 325 degrees f (165 degrees c).
- lay yams skin side down in a 9x12 inch baking dish. pour maple syrup over the yams and sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon. dot with butter and cover with aluminum foil.
- bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.
