Fresh Cherries Jubilee Sauce

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 3 cups sweet fresh cherries, pitted
- 1/2 teaspoon orange rind
- 1/4 cup brandy (optional)
Recipe
- 1 combine sugar and cornstarch in med saucepan.
- 2 add water and orange juice; blend well.
- 3 cook and stir until smooth and thickened.
- 4 add cherries and orange peel; bring to boil and simmer 10 minute.
- 5 gently heat brandy in separate pan, pour over sauce and ignite, if desired.
- 6 serve over ice cream.
