Fresh Cherries Jubilee Sauce

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 3 cups sweet fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange rind
  • 1/4 cup brandy (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 combine sugar and cornstarch in med saucepan.
  • 2 add water and orange juice; blend well.
  • 3 cook and stir until smooth and thickened.
  • 4 add cherries and orange peel; bring to boil and simmer 10 minute.
  • 5 gently heat brandy in separate pan, pour over sauce and ignite, if desired.
  • 6 serve over ice cream.
