Sauteed Green Beans

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon creole seasoning

Recipe

  • 1 cook green beans in boiling salted water to cover 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  • 2 drain and plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain.
  • 3 sauté sliced red bell pepper in 2 tablespoons hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 5 minutes or until crisp-tender; add minced garlic, and sauté 2 more minutes.
  • 4 add green beans; sprinkle with 1 teaspoon creole seasoning, and cook, stirring constantly, until vegetable mixture is thoroughly heated.
  • 5 note: for testing purposes only, we used tony chachere's creole seasoning.
