Easy Cheddar Rice Casserole

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cups long grain rice (cooked)
- 2 cups cooked chicken (optional) or 2 cups turkey (optional) or 2 cups ham, diced (optional)
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, minced
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 melt butter in a large saucepan, and saute the onion and garlic in butter until tender.
- 3 add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- 4 pour into a shallow, greased 1-quart baking dish.
- 5 bake uncovered until knife inserted near center comes out clean (40-45 minutes).
