Easy Caramel Sauce

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar (white)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 place the white sugar and brown sugar into a heavy saucepan.
  • 2 pour the water into the centre, then make a large x across the sugar with your fingertip to let the water seep through.
  • 3 note ~ do not stir.
  • 4 turn up the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. without stirring, boil for 8 minutes.
  • 5 remove caramel from heat and once cooled, beat in yoghurt and vanilla extract.
