Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 lemon, zest of, grated
- 4 cups strawberries
- 1 cup lemon juice
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan, bring the water, sugar and lemon zest to a boil.
- 2 place the strawberries and lemon juice in a pitcher.
- 3 add the hot syrup.
- 4 refrigerate until completely chilled, about 4 hours.
- 5 strain if desired, but do not press.
- 6 serve well chilled.
