Homemade Mustard

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed milk)
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup dry mustard (such as keen's)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar

Recipe

  • 1 in a microwave safe bowl (no less than a 6 cup measure) mix the evaporated milk,vinigar and eggs.
  • 2 mix together the flour,mustard,salt and sugar and add to the wet ingredients.
  • 3 mix well.
  • 4 place in microwave and cook for 2 minutes on high.
  • 5 stir or whisk until smooth then place back into the microwave and cook for another 2 minutes repeat until thickened this will take 3 or 4 times.
  • 6 1/4 teaspoon curry or cayenne can be added.
  • 7 pour into hot jars that can be sealed. once open store in fridge.
  • 8 note: my microwave is a 1000 watt and i cook the mixture a total of 4 times which is perfect.
