Dutch Lamb Chops

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 lamb chops (bone in is better, but can also be made with boneless)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped sweet onion
  • 1 (16 ounce) can bavarian sauerkraut (drained, but not rinsed)
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
  • 1 -2 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 sprinkle lamb chops with salt and pepper.
  • 2 heal olive oil in frying pan until hot.
  • 3 add lamb chops and brown on one side.
  • 4 flip chops and add onion.
  • 5 when browned on second side, and onion is translucent, add saurkraut and tomato soup.
  • 6 turn down heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, turning chops over in sauce every so often.
  • 7 serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
  • 8 tastes even better when served the next day.
