Fruit Ketchup

Total Time: 16 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 min

Ingredients

  • 8 large tomatoes
  • 4 peaches
  • 4 pears
  • 3 onions
  • 3 celery ribs
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons pickling spices, held together with cheesecloth

Recipe

  • 1 blanch tomatoes and peaches to remove skin.
  • 2 peel other fruits.
  • 3 cut into cubes and place in large pot.
  • 4 add brown sugar, vinegar, salt and marinating spices.
  • 5 bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour.
  • 6 remove spices and allow to cool.
  • 7 pour into sterilized jars.
