- 1 (3 lb) broiler-fryer chickens, cut up
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- vegetable oil
Recipe
- 1 season chicken with salt and pepper. combine four and red pepper; set aside. combine egg and milk; dip chicken in egg mixture; and dredge in the flour mixture, covering well.
- 2 heat 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet ( 350f) place chicken in skillet, ( not too many at once, or it will take a long time to cook). cover and cook chicken over medium heat 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, turn occasionally. drain on paper towels.
