Easy Chicken Nuggets (can Be Gluten-free!)

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 -2 chicken breast, depending on the size of your family
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (can use gluten-free breadcrumbs!)
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning (or sage)
- salt and pepper
- 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 3 cups oil (any kind you may have. i used canola oil)
Recipe
- 1 cut up the chicken in bite size pieces.
- 2 using three seperate bowls, in the 1st bowl, mix the egg with a fork and add the milk. mix well.
- 3 in the 2nd bowl, add the cornmeal, cornstarch, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper and mix well.
- 4 in the 3rd bowl, mix the bread crumbs and the sesame seeds. stir well.
- 5 heat a large round pot (i used a saucee pan, which is a large, rounded sauce pan), add the oil and heat at med/high for about 5 minutes and the oil is hot.
- 6 dip the chicken pieces into the cornmeal mixture, then into the egg, and then into the bread crumbs and dip into the hot oil. fry about 5 pieces at a time.
- 7 fry the chicken pieces until golden brown, which should take about 5 minutes per batch.
- 8 remove from hot oil and allow to drain on paper towels.
