Double Chocolate Cookies

Total Time: 27 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350°f
  • 2 cream the butter and sugars.
  • 3 add the egg and vanilla.
  • 4 sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, then add the dry mixture to the butter mixture.
  • 5 fold in the chocolate chips.
  • 6 form the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and bake on parchment paper-lined baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
  • 7 bake until the centers are just set, about 12 minutes.
  • 8 let cool on sheets 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
