Double Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350°f
- 2 cream the butter and sugars.
- 3 add the egg and vanilla.
- 4 sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, then add the dry mixture to the butter mixture.
- 5 fold in the chocolate chips.
- 6 form the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and bake on parchment paper-lined baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- 7 bake until the centers are just set, about 12 minutes.
- 8 let cool on sheets 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
