Total Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups canned chopped tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 2/3 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic (i just used one large clove of minced garlic)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 2 teaspoons celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp.ground clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons water

Recipe

  • 1 1. in a saucepot, combine tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, water, garlic and onion powder, celery salt, ground coriander, cayenne, cloves and nutmeg and hot sauce. over medium high hear bring mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 30 minutes. stir occasionally so the sauce does not stick to the bottom of the saucepot. remove from heat and pour into a bottle or jar that can be sealed and stored in the refrigerator. this will last for up to a month in the fridge. note: i did find that the flavor seems to mellow over time, but for the better.
