Cook Time: 30 mins

- 2 cups canned chopped tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
- 1 2/3 cups brown sugar, packed
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic (i just used one large clove of minced garlic)

- 2 teaspoons mustard powder
- 2 teaspoons celery salt
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 tsp.ground clove
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons water
Recipe
- 1 1. in a saucepot, combine tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, water, garlic and onion powder, celery salt, ground coriander, cayenne, cloves and nutmeg and hot sauce. over medium high hear bring mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 30 minutes. stir occasionally so the sauce does not stick to the bottom of the saucepot. remove from heat and pour into a bottle or jar that can be sealed and stored in the refrigerator. this will last for up to a month in the fridge. note: i did find that the flavor seems to mellow over time, but for the better.
