Nepali Spiced Tea

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 tablespoons black tea leaves (or 3 tea bags)
  • 5 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/4 cups milk, heated
  • 1/3-2/3 cup sugar
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 -3 cardamom pods, cracked open (or 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom)
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Recipe

  • 1 steep tea in boiling water.
  • 2 add milk, sugar, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick.
  • 3 simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors.
  • 4 strain and serve hot.
