pineapple casserole ii

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 (20 ounce) cans pineapple chunks, juice reserved
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 pound butter, melted
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 25 buttery round crackers, crumbled

Recipe

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c). butter or grease one 2 quart casserole dish.
  • in a mixing bowl, blend together 4 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice, sugar, flour and butter.
  • add pineapple and cheese; mix well and pour into casserole dish. bake for 20 minutes.
  • reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees f (150 degrees c), sprinkle top with cracker crumbs and bake for 20 more minutes.
