pineapple casserole ii
Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 (20 ounce) cans pineapple chunks, juice reserved
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 pound butter, melted
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 25 buttery round crackers, crumbled
Recipe
- preheat oven to 350 degrees f (175 degrees c). butter or grease one 2 quart casserole dish.
- in a mixing bowl, blend together 4 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice, sugar, flour and butter.
- add pineapple and cheese; mix well and pour into casserole dish. bake for 20 minutes.
- reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees f (150 degrees c), sprinkle top with cracker crumbs and bake for 20 more minutes.
