Spinach Parathas

Ingredients

  • 1 paratha dough
  • 1 cup spinach, cleaned & finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • oil (to shallow fry)

Recipe

  • 1 the spinach must be towel dried well.
  • 2 mix all dry ingredients together.
  • 3 roll a lump of dough as for paratha.
  • 4 spread some spinach over it.
  • 5 sprinkle some dry mixture all over.
  • 6 make a tight swiss roll.
  • 7 now twist into a coil.
  • 8 press together and re-roll to full size.
  • 9 shallow fry and serve hot.
  • 10 variation: use chopped fenugreek leaves instead of spinach to make'methi paratha'.
