Neiman Marcus Red Onion Marmalade

Ingredients
- 6 cups red onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 place the onions in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and add the vinegar, honey, salt and pepper.
- 2 bring to a simmer over medium heat and continue to simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the liquid has evaporated.
- 3 remove the pan from the heat and let cool.
