Dolly's Banana Liqueur

Ingredients

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle liquor (guaro, , )
  • 3 bananas, ripe but not brown
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 1 peel and thinly slice bananas. place in a large glass jar with lid.
  • 2 add the guaro and the sugar, mix until sugar is dissolved.
  • 3 place jar in refrigerator (might not be necessary in a non-tropical country) for a week, stirring every few days.
  • 4 strain and discard banana pieces. strain again through a double layer of cheesecloth. if there are still particulates, you can strain through cheesecloth again.
  • 5 pour into bottles and store in the refrigerator.
