Dillsas (dill Sauce)

Total Time: 17 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock (or other stock that suits the rest of your meal)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 in a small saucepan, melt butter.
  • 2 add flour and stir until well blended.
  • 3 add stock gradually while whisking constantly, then cook over meduim low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 4 add the dill, sugar, and vinegar.
  • 5 remove from heat and stir in the egg yolk.
  • 6 season to taste and serve immediately.
